Established in Greece in 1988 and building on the Milonas family’s tradition and expertise, Alumil is celebrating two decades of production in Serbia.
As a leading manufacturer of aluminium profiles, with rigorous quality control throughout the production process, the company employs 400 individuals in Serbia. Supported by a strong team of 20 engineering and architectural consultants, it boasts six sales and distribution centres and an impressive showroom in Belgrade. The company’s significant investments in its Novi Pazova manufacturing plant demonstrate the importance of its Serbian operations to the wider Alumil Group. From a single-shift production, the company expanded capacity and modernised its equipment, necessitating a three-shift operation. Key investments included the expansion of a 7,000 m² hall and the addition of another extrusion line, doubling profile production capabilities. Today, Alumil’s facility in Novi Pazova has two extrusion lines with an annual capacity of 14,000 tonnes.
A further 6,000 m² hall expansion boosted logistics capacities. In 2017, the company adopted an eco-friendly “chrome free” plastification process. Recent investments nearing half a million euros have launched a new thermal break line, replacing two older ones. By 2020, automated CNC machining and subsequent profile cutting lines were integrated. Modern nitriding industrial furnaces replaced older models, rounding off two decades of investments amounting to 42 million euros in the Serbian factory. The company emphasises its consistent annual investments in both manufacturing and staff training.
“In our state-of-the-art 35,000 m² facility, with stringent quality control across all processes, Alumil delivers top-tier products of high utility value. Our ongoing R&D goal is to provide bespoke solutions with innovative features, meeting our clients’ needs to a tee,” remarked Stylianos Tsoktouridis, the General Manager of Alumil YU Industry.
In Serbia, nearly 70% of Alumil’s industrial profiles are exported to European Union countries, while 30% serves the domestic market, primarily catering to architectural profiles.
