Serbia and France have inked four pivotal documents set to bolster bilateral ties, according to an announcement from the Serbian government.

The signed agreements include a Financial Protocol between the Serbian and French governments to collaborate on financing the introduction of comprehensive automated management of Serbia’s electric distribution network. An agreement of collaboration was also formalised between Serbia’s Railway Infrastructure, the French Development Agency, and the French Railways (SNCF International). Additionally, a Letter of Intent was established between Bouygues Construction, Batiman International, and Serbia’s Ministry of Health for cooperation in the sectors of healthcare, oncology, and medicine. Lastly, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Belgrade Metro and Rail and the French company RATP Development.

Olivier Dussopt, the French Minister for Foreign Trade, while visiting Belgrade accompanied by representatives of the French business delegation (MEDEF), remarked that French companies in Serbia are observing a positive growth trajectory. He underscored that the newly-signed agreements pave the way for enriched collaboration between the two nations.

Furthermore, he conveyed France’s unwavering support for Serbia’s journey towards European integration and commended the reforms implemented by Serbia as part of its EU accession process.
