Ana Hrustanović has been formally designated as Serbia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to France, as announced in the country’s Official Gazette.
Hailing from a distinguished academic background, Ms. Hrustanović studied Italian language and literature at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She further refined her specialisation in Italian language and culture at the University for Foreigners in Perugia.
Advancing her credentials, she earned a Master’s Degree, Level II, in European Studies and International Relations from La Sapienza University in Rome.
Embarking on her career in 2000, she worked as a journalist for YU INFO television. Four years later, she transitioned to a role in public relations within the Ministry of Defence for Serbia and Montenegro. In 2007, Ms. Hrustanović ascended to an advisory position for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, which preceded her role as the First Counsellor at the Serbian Embassy in Rome.
In 2008, she was elevated to the position of Minister Counsellor for Political Affairs, again within the Serbian Embassy in Rome.
From 2011 to 2016, she distinguished herself as Serbia’s Ambassador to Italy. During this tenure, she also held non-residential ambassadorial responsibilities for San Marino and Malta, along with serving as Serbia’s permanent representative to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
According to her biography published by Serbia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hrustanović is multilingual, fluent in English, French, and Italian.
