“The Future of Biotechnology” conference was held today at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade, and it was officially opened by the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić and the President of the World Economic Forum, Borge Brende.
The conference was organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the World Economic Forum, and with support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
In one place, the public sector, the private sector and the academic community gathered in order to encourage cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience.
Growing investments and technological advances have accelerated the development and application of biotechnology, which is key to advancing solutions in areas such as medicine, agriculture and the food industry.
On this occasion, the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Serbia, which within the global network of 16 centers of the World Economic Forum is the leader in biotechnology and artificial intelligence in the field of health, was promoted, and the concept of the future BIO4 Campus and the potential for investment in research and development projects in Serbia.
